General Terms and Conditions of Sale — RULE S.R.L.
The customer undertakes to read these general terms and conditions of sale, which must be accepted in order to proceed with order confirmation. Acceptance constitutes confirmation that the terms and conditions of sale have been read in full and in every part.
1. Pre-contractual information (art. 49 of the Italian Consumer Code)
Before entering into the purchase contract, the customer is required to review the characteristics of the goods offered for sale, as described in the individual product pages. By validating the order, the customer acknowledges having been informed of:
• the main characteristics of the components and accessories on sale;
• the total price of the goods, including taxes (where applicable), shipping costs and any other charge applied;
• payment methods;
• the deadlines within which RULE S.R.L. undertakes to deliver the goods;
• the handling of complaints by RULE S.R.L.;
• the conditions, procedures and time limits for exercising the right of withdrawal, including the loss of that right and the obligations of the consumer exercising it, as well as the model withdrawal form set out in Annex I, Part B, of Legislative Decree 21/2014;
• the procedures and time limits for returning the goods in the event of withdrawal;
• the existence of the legal guarantee of conformity of the goods;
• after-sales services;
• the obligation to attempt a conciliation procedure before any dispute is brought to court.

2. Liability
RULE S.R.L. reserves the broadest possible exemption from liability in respect of any claim that may be brought against it by the customer for any damage or loss, whether direct and/or indirect, arising from the sale of the goods and services offered in the catalogue published on rulecomponents.com, from late and/or failed delivery of the product, from any discrepancy between the goods and the specifications published on the website, or from any other circumstance not directly attributable to RULE S.R.L.
3. Technical information and products
The technical information published on the rulecomponents.com website is derived from the design data, tests and technical data sheets of the products and of the partner manufacturers. RULE S.R.L. reserves the right to modify or update the technical and dimensional information of the products in the catalogue, including without prior notice.
RULE S.R.L. undertakes to describe in detail on the product page the safety conditions, composition, tolerances and quality of the product. The components and accessories sold (e.g. wheels, handlebars, saddles, bottom brackets) undergo strict quality controls; however, the installation and assembly of the products require specific technical expertise. It remains the responsibility of the customer (or of the mechanic/specialist workshop appointed by the customer) to comply with the assembly instructions, the specified tightening torques and the stated weight and usage limits.
The images on the website are merely representative and may show slight differences in colour or finish compared with the actual product.
4. Product availability
Since online access and order submission alter catalogue availability in real time, RULE S.R.L. cannot guarantee the immediate allocation of the goods ordered. Should the goods no longer be available, the customer will be promptly informed by e-mail of the procedures and timescales for the refund of any sums paid, or of the expected restocking times.
5. Risk and title
On delivery of the goods, the customer must check that the packages are intact and that they correspond in quantity and quality to what is stated in the transport document. Any discrepancy must be reported within 7 days by e-mail to info@rulecomponents.com or by registered letter with return receipt.
Even where the packaging is intact, the goods must be checked within 7 days of receipt. Any hidden defects must be reported in writing by e-mail to info@rulecomponents.com.
6. Orders
An order placed via the internet constitutes a mere purchase proposal. The customer will receive an initial automatic e-mail acknowledging receipt of the order and, subsequently, the official order confirmation. The contract is deemed concluded only upon receipt of the order confirmation e-mail sent by RULE S.R.L.
The confirmation e-mail contains the order details, prices, shipping costs, the delivery address and a link or attachment to these general terms and conditions. The customer must check that the details are correct and report any discrepancies on the same day of receipt by writing to info@rulecomponents.com.
7. Made-to-measure, assembled or customised products
Where made-to-measure or customised products are purchased (e.g. wheels built to the customer's specifications, special finishes, components manufactured or modified on express request), payment is made at the time the order is placed.
Once production or assembly of the customised component has started, the order may no longer be modified or cancelled, nor may a refund or the exchange of the goods for other products be requested, pursuant to art. 59 of the Italian Consumer Code (exceptions to the right of withdrawal for goods made to measure or clearly personalised).
The delivery times stated for customised products are indicative and expressed in working days. In the event of delays exceeding 30 working days compared with the estimate, the customer will be promptly informed by e-mail.
8. Prices
• EU shipments: prices are inclusive of VAT for shipments to European Union countries.
• Non-EU shipments: prices for non-EU destinations are exclusive of Italian VAT and customs duties. Local VAT, duties and import charges are borne entirely by the recipient and will be collected by the courier on delivery.
RULE S.R.L. reserves the right to change prices at any time. The price applied will be the one displayed on the website at the time of order confirmation. In the event of a gross material error in the published price (a price that is manifestly negligible or disproportionate), RULE S.R.L. reserves the right to cancel the order, treating the purchase proposal as not acceptable.
9. Payments
The goods supplied must be paid for using one of the following methods made available on the website:
• Advance bank transfer
• Credit / debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex)
• PayPal

Processing of the order will begin once the funds have actually been credited to the company bank account.
11. Shipments within Italy and the European Union
Shipping costs are calculated automatically at check-out.
Free shipping on orders over € 100 (except for items of exceptional size or bulk).
Any storage charges arising because the recipient cannot be reached or the address is incorrect will be borne by the customer.
12. Non-EU shipments and customs duties
For shipments sent outside the European Union, transport costs are calculated automatically at check-out.
The goods travel exempt from Italian VAT. All customs duties, import taxes and clearance charges provided for by the legislation of the country of destination are borne exclusively by the customer and will not be refunded by RULE S.R.L. under any circumstances.
If the customer refuses delivery because of the customs duties requested, RULE S.R.L. will refund the value of the goods after deducting the outbound shipping costs, the cost of the parcel's return and the customs charges incurred for its return to the premises.
13. Receipt of the goods
On delivery, the customer must check:
1. that the number of packages matches the number stated in the transport document;
2. that the packaging is intact, undamaged, not wet or tampered with, including the RULE COMPONENTS branded sealing tape.
Where there is visible damage to the packaging or the security tape has been tampered with, the customer must accept the delivery "SUBJECT TO INSPECTION" ("CON RISERVA DI CONTROLLO"), stating the reason on the courier's delivery note (e.g. "damaged parcel", "crushed box"). In the absence of a written reservation on the courier's document, no claim may be submitted for transport damage or missing items.
14. Customer responsibilities
It is strictly forbidden to enter false, altered or fictitious data in the registration and ordering procedures. RULE S.R.L. reserves the right to take legal action against any breach and any fraudulent use of its services.
15. Right of withdrawal
Pursuant to Legislative Decree 206/2005 (the Italian Consumer Code), a consumer customer has the right to withdraw from the contract without penalty within 14 days of receipt of the goods, obtaining a refund of the value of the products purchased.
Conditions for exercising the right of withdrawal:
• The product must be returned intact, unused, never fitted to a bicycle or tested on the road, and free from signs of wear, scratches or alterations.
• The product must be returned in its original sealed packaging, complete with all accessories, manuals, labels and additional fittings.
• Shipping costs and any customs duties for the return are borne entirely by the customer.
Return procedure:
1. Send written notice within 14 days to info@rulecomponents.com requesting return authorisation (or submit the request in the reserved area of the website).
2. Ship the product, carefully packaged, within the following 2 working days from authorisation to the following address:

Following receipt and verification that the product is intact, RULE S.R.L. will refund the cost of the goods within 14 working days using the same payment method used for the purchase.
16. Warranties
16.1 Legal guarantee of conformity
Depending on the nature of the buyer, the following protections apply:
• Private consumer (B2C): legal guarantee of conformity of 24 months from delivery pursuant to the Italian Consumer Code.
• Professional / business with a VAT number (B2B): legal guarantee of 12 months pursuant to the Italian Civil Code.
The warranty covers manufacturing or conformity defects of the product only. The warranty does not apply to:
• normal wear of components (e.g. bearings, braking surfaces, handlebar tape, rubber or plastic parts subject to friction);
• damage caused by incorrect assembly, failure to observe tightening torques, inadequate maintenance or unauthorised modifications;
• damage resulting from impacts, falls, accidents or improper use (e.g. use outside the technical specifications or the stated weight limits).
16.2 How to obtain assistance
To submit a warranty claim, send a detailed e-mail with photos/video of the component and proof of purchase to info@rulecomponents.com.
17. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction
These General Terms and Conditions are governed by Italian law. Before bringing any dispute to court, the parties undertake to attempt conciliation through assisted negotiation (Decree Law 132/2014).
For consumers resident in the EU, the courts of the consumer's place of residence or domicile shall have jurisdiction. For purchases made by parties holding a VAT number (B2B), the Court of Turin shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
18. Credits and promotions
Any refund credits, promotional vouchers or cashback accrued by the user on their account are personal, non-transferable and may be used solely to purchase products on the rulecomponents.com website, in accordance with the terms and validity indicated in each promotional initiative. Credits may not be applied to shipping costs or customs charges.
19. Processing of personal data
Personal data provided by the customer is processed by RULE S.R.L. as data controller in accordance with the Privacy Policy, available at www.rulecomponents.com/privacy-policy, which forms an integral part of these terms and conditions.
20. Acceptance of the terms and conditions
These general terms and conditions of sale apply to all sales concluded through the rulecomponents.com website and prevail over any other condition not expressly agreed in writing between the parties.
